Why people don’t invite
Given the opportunity to think about it, most Christians – about 7 out of 10 – come up with someone they feel God may be prompting them to invite. However, 8 out of 10 of them have no intention of doing so.
To put it simply
The good news – people are open to receiving an invitation. And Christians have a sense of who they should invite.
The bad news – these invitations are not happening. Sand is running through the fingers of the church. And the culprit is fear. Fear of rejection. Fear of getting it wrong. Fear of failure.
For Christians to face this fear – and to grow in faith – a new mind-set is needed. This involves seeing God and ‘success’ as they’ve never seen before.
The outcome will be good for churches – with their members growing as disciples of Jesus. And good for those waiting to meet Jesus themselves.
